Head of Sportsbook’s responsibilities

Head of Sportsbook is a new and exciting position that reports to the Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, you will be in charge of all the commercial KPIs, daily operations, product roadmap, campaign strategies, and risk teams to make sure that online customers from all various markets have the best iGaming experience possible.
The following are some of the more significant duties associated with this important position:

• Lead by example in product innovation, sportsbook vertical performance for all client brands, efficient operations, and market expansion.
• Ensure a smooth service integration and rollout of the Sportsbook product across the platform,
• Take complete responsibility for the direction of the Sportsbook vertical and the profit/loss across all markets.
• Help product managers set priorities and improve product backlogs for the products they are in charge of, taking into account the needs of all stakeholders and business players.
• Taking charge of the Sportsbook’s long-term vision and leading the product team responsible for delivering and maintaining it.
• Analysing Commercial Key Performance Indicators, Risk, Fraud, Content, and Marketing Efforts in the Sportsbook.
• Creation and distribution of Sportsbook advertising, promotional, and cross-selling initiatives.
• Work with other platform users and internal stakeholders to share and improve the vision, strategy, features, and priorities for the Sportsbook vertical.
• Social responsibility and responsible gambling must always be at the top of the list, so the compliance team will work with you to make sure that your products are legal in all relevant jurisdictions.
• Work with the Business Intelligence group to collect the information needed to accurately report on the product’s success.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to oversee strategic relationships with third parties, such as suppliers.

Head of Sportsbook’s requirements

Head of Sportsbook is an important role to fill as this person will be brought in to lead the brand in Malta. This person should be a team leader and product manager with experience in the iGaming industry and an understanding of regional differences and customer tastes. The following qualifications and skills will be preferred:

• Experience in a senior role within the Sports betting industry.
• Knowledge and enthusiasm for sports, especially those related to the Sportsbook industry.
• Five or more years of work experience in the sports betting industry or iGaming industry
• In-depth familiarity with the Sportsbook product and trading.
• A dedication to the steady development of the product portfolio.
• Capable of influencing and motivating teams and other stakeholders to collaborate cohesively and productively.
• Exceptional organizational skills and a track record of successfully prioritizing and managing one’s time while working on multiple projects at once.
• Highly developed capacity for detailed analysis and precise criticism.
• Strong analytical abilities and reporting skills
